You had me up until:

"the discovery that ‘value’ stocks tend to outperform ‘growth’ stocks--and, therefore, that indexes ‘tilted’ toward value stocks tend to do better than those that include a mix of value and growth.

The value tilt has paid off in recent years, but to expect that trend to continue relies on the same faulty logic that you criticize Middleton for. Just because value has performed better over some specifically defined periods of time does not mean it will continue to do so.

Value or dividend weighted indexes are not state of the art; they are merely in vogue.

Dylan: Fair point. Some of the long-term value/growth studies suggest that the effect is consistent across different markets and timeframes, but it also disappears for long periods. So it's certainly possible that it's just a temporary trend.

My hunch is that it's not--that investors generally overpay for growth and underpay for value--but this won't stop the effect from disappearing for decades once everyone has jumped on the bandwagon. But, again, a fair point.

If some students stuck with college essay writing, thence I would propose to buy essays at some good essay writing service under such circumstances.
